The world of software testing just got a whole lot more innovative. Last week, we unveiled a host of new product features and heard from some of the brightest minds in software testing at our 5th annual user testing conference, mabl Experience. From engaging presentations and deep-dive workshops to lightning talks and a spin around the virtual track at the country’s only Formula 1 racing arcade, it was an action-packed two-day event with quality professionals from around the world.

Day two kicked off with a keynote talk from our co-founders, Dan Belcher and Izzy Azeri, where Dan highlighted the product innovations mabl has released this year, as well as a sneak peek at a few new things we have on the horizon.

Key Notes From the Keynote: Testing in the Age of AI-Powered Apps

mabl’s GenAI Assertions are ready to change the way you test

From chatbots to AI-generated images and video, more and more apps are incorporating AI–and those unpredictable outputs need to be tested. That’s where mabl’s GenAI Assertions come into play. Think about being able to test whether a travel site shows the right kind of pictures–snowy mountains for a winter trip to Colorado, or a sunny beach for a trip to Costa Rica. GenAI Assertions can handle these types of situations and more with ease.

AI That COLLABORATES ON Tests? NOW THAT'S A GAME-CHANGER!

mabl gave attendees a sneak peek at a groundbreaking AI test generation feature coming this winter that reimagines how teams leverage AI in quality engineering. Unlike current solutions that simply generate tests, mabl's AI acts as a collaborative teammate. It learns from your existing tests, reusable assets, and even understands your application to generate tests that are not just automated, but truly integrated with your workflow. This means faster testing, more maintainable tests, increased efficiency, and ultimately, quicker innovation.

mabl for Playwright: A Developer's Dream

Developers, rejoice! For those of you who prefer a code-based approach to testing, mabl now works seamlessly with Playwright. This means you can supercharge your Playwright tests with mabl's powerful features, including the new GenAI Assertions. Plus, you get a unified view of all your testing results, making it easier than ever to track quality.

Unleashing the Power of AI with Customer Sessions

While the announcements made in the keynote were nothing short of incredible, it was the customer sessions that really showed how mabl has been shining and helping teams transform their quality practices. Some highlights included:

  • Unleashing the Power of AI and Low-Code with Greg Goldshteyn from Fox Networks, where he detailed the importance of keeping pace with industry developments and transitioning from a manual-based approach to adopting AI-powered quality practices.
  • Test Automation and AI with Hajer Ben Moussa from CodeLingual, in which she likened the testing process to going a few rounds in the boxing ring, using AI as a sparring partner to identify weaknesses in your testing processes
  • Transforming Quality Culture at ADP with Christopher AnthonyDoss, who discussed the process of taking a globally distributed team on a journey to reach 100% automated testing coverage.
  • Unleashing Innovation with LLMs with Meera Lakhavani from Google, who talked about harnessing the power of LLMs with Google Cloud Platform to help your team usher in a new round of product innovations.
  • Failing Forward with AI with Jessica Mosely from TrustCloud, where she talked about the process of using experimentation and failure to generate new ideas, grow products, and innovate quickly.

Head to Head in a Quality Grand Prix

1000011511It wasn’t all AI and learning at this year’s event: we had a little fun too. On night one, the crew headed to the Formula 1 Arcade in South Boston for an evening of head-to-head races, networking, and cocktails.

Supporting the Boston Arts Community

mabl - Kyle Klein - 029 KK4_8515A special shout out goes out to our host venue, the Artists for Humanity EpiCenter, where teens from the Boston area are employed to explore and express their creative abilities. They even created a special piece of art to collaborate on with event attendees, getting everyone in on the action.
